Raymond Carmichael, Founder

Ray Carmichael final2A veteran of non-profit, corporate and agency public relations, marketing and communications strategy, Carmichael founded Strategics in 1990. In 2009 he helped lead Vivid Ascent, a digital marketing and public relations firm, until 2012. Strategics continues today as a communications consultancy.

As a media consultant, Carmichael leverages his expertise in the evolving fields of communications and journalism with new media and technologies. He served as head of PR and corporate advertising for the Chicago Board of Trade from 1980 to 1990. Prior to that, Carmichael led both PR and fundraising for various American Red Cross chapters and also headed many of their national disaster crisis communications efforts. He earned an undergraduate degree in English and Political Science and an MBA in Marketing.

Carmichael is a graduate of the Centurions Program (Now named Colson Fellows). Founded by the Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview, the  yearlong study of how the Christian worldview affects our daily lives, professions, government and history. He has also served as a board member of several Christian organizations: Haiti Revival (Heart of God Ministries) – Chair; CS Lewis Institute Chicago – Chair; Moody Theological Seminary – Vice Chair; and Timothy Leadership Training Institute.
